tigMAÏA is organizing its third artist residency. Following the successes of previous residencies focused on singing with Malika Zarra and music with Elad Lévi, it is now the turn of dance to take center stage.

On May 10, 2023, Orly Portal, a passionate and experienced Israeli choreographer, visited tigMAÏA to collaborate with young dancers from various centers of the Connect Institute. Together, they worked on a choreography inspired by Morocco and its culture.

Driven by her passion and fueled by her art, Orly succeeded in imparting her love for dance to the young participants. Concurrently, she instilled in them essential values such as commitment, punctuality, effort, concentration, and a demand for quality. These values are integral to her teaching and are reflected in the work accomplished by the young dancers.

Thanks to her compassionate pedagogical approach, Orly was able to forge strong human connections with the participants. She encouraged them to believe in themselves, in their potential, to shape their talents, and to develop their own artistic identity. Her unwavering support allowed these emerging young talents to fully blossom.

The result of their work will be presented at the second edition of Agadir Cultures, a significant cultural event taking place from June 21 to 24, 2023. The dancers will have the opportunity to shine on stage, share their passion with the audience, and celebrate artistic diversity.

tigMAÏA provides young artists with the opportunity to work with recognized professionals, contributing to their artistic and personal development. This residency represents a moment of sharing, learning, creation, and celebration, where dance and Moroccan culture have merged to give birth to a unique artistic experience.
